English caricatures 1750’s

I’ve been researching English caricatures likes of William Hogarth, George Cruikshank and James Gillray.

I’m interested in how these artists portrayed the contemporary life – looking at William Hogarth (1697-1764) is known for his satirical views of contemporary  life, the intent of Hogarth’s work was to portray humorous caricatures of contemporary figures- providing us a glimpse of the modern life in London 1730.
